The following are just a few examples of areas where the Internet of Things now helps farmers: disease prevention, crop yield increase, irrigation and data monitoring in poultry farms, fisheries and livestock industry, as well as others.

Automation and dispatching of Gazprom Energodom Business Center

The article focuses on the history of the automation and dispatching project for the office center of one of the Gazprom Group companies. The utility systems of the 23-storey building and four blocks were integrated into a centralized monitoring and control system based on software from ICONICS. All stages of this project were implemented by Energodom Service LLC for one year. The result is a reliable, modern system, which is intuitive and user-friendly for the operators.

Also included is a description of the existing physical access control systems, their components and the identification technologies used. Electrical equipment grounding as the main protection principle against HEMP

The article examines the differences between lightning electromagnetic pulses (LEMP) and high-altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulses (HEMP or NEMP). It has been shown that these differences do not allow the direct transfer of experience on lightning protection (LEMP) to protection against HEMP. The author questions the efficiency of electronic equipment grounding as the primary protection against HEMP, even though this method of protection is specified in all regulations and standards.
